      Comments about Crucial 4GB Ballistix 240-pin DIMM DDR3 PC3-12800:

I ordered two modules and discovered on receipt that one of my slots had a fault therefor I could only use one of the modules. I returned it with absolutely no hassle and my payment was refunded without any quibble. I have dealt with Crucial a number of times and their service is second to none.

      Comments about Crucial 4GB Ballistix 240-pin DIMM DDR3 PC3-12800:

My Asus mobo BIOS failed to Auto-detect (1) the Clock rate, setting it at 1066: I had to fix it manually to 1600, (2) the Timings which were 8-8-8-20 and I had to fix manually to the specs 8-8-8-24.

Finally, the Command Rate was auto-detected at 1N, but an online-published review of the product stated that the testing item was marked 2T(2N). The reviewer found it however that the product performed very reliably at 1N with a small edge in speed. I decided to leave it at 1N and after a week have found no RAM issues whatsoever. However, it would have been better to read this detail in the Manual rather than finding it online.

I tested the RAM speed with MaxMEMM2 and the increase in speed w.r.t. my previous DDR3-1066 RAM is as expected: Clock +50%, Write +40%, Read +28%, Latency +24%. 3DMark11 as expected did not report any improvement in GPU-intensive tests, but in the CPU-intensive Test 5 reported an increase of 12%. I am very happy with these results.
